‘Lost time is never found again.’ -Benjamin Franklin
I do believe the first lesson every person should be taught is that in life there are not many chances for a second try. In elementary school when we are playing games and we mess up the coach automatically yells “Okay, one more time,” or “You almost had it, try again.”…
However, as we become adults we begin to realize that what we get is what we get. First impressions, dates, dances, romances are the only firsts we will get so it’s important that we all have our game faces on at all times. You never really know when you are going to be challenged or put to the test or even presented with the opportunity of a lifetime.
No one really cares if you are having a bad day and your opponents will use every opportunity you GIVE them to point our your flaws. So don’t give them the chance. Every second of the day should be used to make an impact on someone. It doesn’t have to be a million dollar contribution. Try a smile for starters.
One of my greatest fears is that I will turn fifty years old and look back on my life and realize that I burned bridges instead of crossing them to make a new friend or to take on another challenge. Time is so precious. It seems the older I get the less time in a day I have. I find myself wishing I had more time to do the things that make me happy because I’ve wasted so much of my day on things that in the long run will fade away with the seasons.
All of the goals that have been set don’t seem to matter as much as the second that I exist in once I put into perspective how quickly life can pass me by. Luckily, I have faith that I still have time to turn things around and not spend so much time stressed out about the little things. My question is …do you?
Make a list of the things you have a passion for and then make a list of the things you spend your day doing. How much of the things on your first list appear on your second list. In many cases they will not appear at all.
It’s time for us all to take time into perspective and begin to do the things that put smiles on our faces. After all we only get this one life.

Having a good first impression is also crucial, especially if you are going to a job interview. It might not seem fair but most people do judge your character in the first 5 minutes of meeting you. The tips that you suggest in this blog are really good and are written in an easy way to follow.
This is very interesting because so many times we as people get so caught up in living life for others or in pleasing others that we forget to please ourselves. This is how we lose those precious moments. We run around looking like chickens with our heads cut off trying to regain the time that was lost because we find that we’ve spent the majority of our time trying to please people who don’t even like us.
Lol it seems like I’m venting on your blog, but I do believe that we need to take time to remember the little things. It’s only in paying attention to detail that we can operate in excellence…I don’t know about you but living a fulfilling life is the most important detail we can ever focus on.
Thanx guys for the feedback!
